There will be a new conference to replace LinuxExpo!

Today at Installfest after-party people from various communities met. We were all disappointed that there will be no LinuxExpo this year. Although LinuxExpo was getting smaller and smaller every year, it was a big conference with a long tradition and the only one with booths in the Czech Republic. One of the few opportunities for local people interested in open source to meet face to face. Booths made it super-easy for projects to present themselves and even young projects had opportunities to let people know what they were working on and get some new contributors.

As we knew all of this, we discussed that we need to somehow fill this gap, and we decided to organize something ourselves to replace LinuxExpo. Who are we? Actually, people from various communities. Editors-in-chief of LinuxExpress and ROOT. Organizers of Installfest. People from Fedora, openSUSE and Ubuntu. So various communities decided to join forces to create a great conference!
